The Northfield City Council approves the following board/commission appointments.
Summary Report:
The City Council is being asked to approve the following board, commission, and committee appointments. With the recent code updates, most board and commission appointments have shifted to an April appointment and May start to terms. However, due to various reasons, some have remained with a December appointment and January term start.
Proposed appointments are as follows:
Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA)
These appointments are related to the transition of HRA membership to the City Council. The terms align with City Council terms.
• Chad Beumer, previously appointed, but term updated to end December 31, 2028.
• Peter Dahlen appointed to a term ending December 31, 2028.
• Kathleen Holmes appointed to a term ending December 31, 2026.
• Brad Ness appointed to a term ending December 31, 2028.
• Jessica Peterson White appointed to a term ending December 31, 2026.
• Davin Sokup, previously appointed, but term updated to end December 31, 2026.
• Erica Zweifel appointed to a term ending December 31, 2028.
Council Employment Committee
• Peter Dahlen appointed to a partial term ending December 31, 2026.
• Kathleen Holmes appointed to a partial term ending December 31, 2026.

Environmental Quality Commission
• Kim Haroldson appointed to a partial term ending April 30, 2028 to fill a vacancy starting January 1, 2026. Her application is attached.
Friends of Downtown Northfield
• Jessica Peterson White appointed to a partial term ending December 31, 2026.
Hiawathaland Transit Advisory Committee
• Jessica Peterson White appointed to a partial term ending December 31, 2026.
Library Board
• Martha Anderson appointed to a partial term ending April 30, 2028 to fill a vacancy. Martha is currently a member of the Arts & Culture Commission, which is disbanding at the end of the year. Her application is attached.
Mayor’s Youth Council
• Erica Zweifel appointed to a partial term ending December 31, 2026.
Mill Towns Trail Joint Powers Board
• Peter Dahlen appointed to a partial term ending December 31, 2026.
