The Northfield City Council is being asked to consider a resolution requesting emergency flood assistance from the Army Corps of Engineers.
Summary Report:
The Northfield City Council is being asked consider a resolution requesting emergency flood assistance from the Army Corps of Engineers. Some local businesses are having a difficult time keeping up with the Riverwalk flood wall water incursion. Assistance from the Army Corps of Engineers has been requested and staff has met with a Geotech representative from the Army Corps who is providing geological technical support. Equipment in the form of a 4” diesel pump for the Riverwalk has been requested to assist with the water incursion. Major flood stage is expected to last several more days.
