• Polish Delegation Visit to Northfield.
The State Department has sought out assistance from the City and Northfield Rotary to organize a Climate Action visit for a delegation of approximately 10 Polish leaders visiting on June 7th. The visitors, hosted by the State Department, are interested in learning about Northfield's climate change initiatives, particularly efforts toward energy sovereignty.
The Delegates will be spending the day moving around Northfield learning about different sustainability related projects and initiatives taking place in the City.
• District Energy Study
Staff is still working with Ever Green Energy to discuss the feasibility and financial impact of the study. Final report and presentation will be forth coming
• Northfield High School Geothermal
City Council approved a Resolution on May 7th authorizing up to $25,000 from the Carbon Reduction Fund to the Northfield School districts for efforts to explore the feasibility of a geothermal system for Northfield High School
