Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council is to consider a Resolution authorizing submittal of application to the Minnesota Drinking Water Revolving Fund for the Water Treatment Plant Project.
Summary Report:
The City of Northfield is in the process of designing a water treatment plant and as part of that the City is seeking low interest loans through the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority through the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Program.
The application to the Minnesota Drinking Water Revolving Fund is for an estimated loan amount of $33,450,000 or the as-bid cost of the project.
As part of the loan application, two certificates are required as part of the application which are attached.

Financial Impacts:
The application will provide the City the opportunity to receive low interest loans for the construction of the water treatment plant and improvements associated with the project.
Tentative Timelines:
The application along with resolution needs to be submitted by March 30, 2024.
