Title
Arts & Culture Commission Election of Officers.

Action Requested:
The ACC will elect a chair and vice chair.
Summary Report:
According to the Arts and Culture Commission By-Laws, at the first meeting of each year, members of the commission shall select by simple majority vote a chair and vice chair to serve until the end of that year and until a successor is chosen.
The Chair shall:
o Set the agenda and preside at meetings of the commission;
o Call additional meetings as needed;
o Assign duties to commission members;
o Arrange meetings with other commissions, boards, and organizations from the public, private, and non-profit sectors as needed;
o Communicate with the city council and staff as needed; and
o Provide overall leadership to the commission in carrying out its purpose and
responsibilities.
In the absence of or at the request of the chair, the duties of the chair shall be performed by the Vice Chair.
Secretary: A Library staff member will be assigned by the Library Director to perform the functions of secretary. The secretary shall keep a record of the proceedings of every meeting of the ACC.
Action Requested:
1. Nominations will be taken from the ACC for both positions
2. The ACC will vote on said Officers
3. A motion will be made and passed
