This update includes items not included as agenda items for this meeting.
• EV Experience Expo event was held on October 23, 2021 from 10 AM - 1 PM at Greenvale Park Elementary School. There were over 200 people in attendance. Many test drives were done, local EV owners showed their vehicles and experiences, and the City collected input on future EV education and possible bike and car share interest. ReCharge Minnesota and community partners plan to host this again in fall 2022.
• A training for contractors was held on Air Source Heat Pumps on November 9 from 8 - 9:30 AM at the Northfield Police Department training room.
• Carbon Reduction Fund is being presented to HRA (16th) and EDA (18th) to get their approval for the energy efficiency rebates for residents and businesses to begin in 2022.
• The Xcel Energy Integrated Distribution Plan for 2022 - 2031 (Public Utilities Commission, Docket No 21-694) has been released. Staff will be reviewing and discussing with other cities about comment letter.
UPCOMING EQC MEETINGS - due to construction at City Hall, the EQC meetings for December through March will be moved to the City Council Chambers located on the first floor of City Hall.
